Roof-level sightings, gnawed openings and disturbed insulation can justify an inspection. Note when and where activity occurs. Photographs taken safely from ground level can help.
I inspect accessible activity areas and possible entry routes. Concealed damage or difficult roof access may need additional equipment or a roofer. Gnawed wiring needs a qualified electrician; do not touch damaged cables.
Do not block a hole while animals or dependent young may remain inside. Proofing follows assessment and appropriate control. If the species is uncertain, identification comes before trapping.

Grey squirrels must not be released into the wild. See the Forestry Commission guidance. Suspected protected wildlife needs a different assessment.

New entry routes can develop later. Report fresh activity or damaged barriers so the property can be reassessed.
