The restaurant owners were fined £12,000 after cockroaches were found on cutlery, salads and inside a dishwasher.  Food hygiene bosses noted floors and walls covered in dirt when they inspected Istanblue in Oldham in November last year, the Manchester Evening News reported. 

The restaurant was found to be infested in German cockroaches. The building was shut temporarily and the kitchen was cleaned before being reopened.

The owners, Mavi Royton Ltd, were fined £12,000 after a successful prosecution by Oldham Council.
